RSD Advisors, LLC

The firm was organized by Richard Daskin in 2009 as a Delaware limited liability corporation. It began operating and accepting clients in 2010.

The company is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). It is currently registered to accept clients domiciled in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida. RSD Advisors also holds a life and health insurance license from the State of New York which will allow us to write insurance in all fifty states once certain registrations are satisfied. Our disclosure document for the RIA known as ADV Part 2 is available upon request to prospective clients.

Principal’s Background

Richard Daskin is the firm’s President and Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Daskin has a BA in Economics from the University at Albany and has done additional graduate work in Finance and Economics at New York University. Mr. Daskin has held various positions at money managers and Wall Street firms. He started his career as a credit research analyst at US Trust Company of New York, and he was a trader and portfolio manager at an investment subsidiary of Chemical Bank. For the next 20 years he traded and sold bonds at Lazard Frères, Alex. Brown & Sons, DLJ, and First Albany Corp. Mr. Daskin then worked in the hedge fund industry as a marketer, risk manager and assistant portfolio manager at Goldstein Capital. Mr. Daskin has obtained his CFA charter and CFP® designation in order to provide better service to his clients. RSD Advisors and Richard Daskin also hold a life and health insurance license from the State of New York.

Richard Daskin has also authored a chapter in Triet Nguyen’s new book, Investing in the High Yield Municipal Market: How to Profit from the Current Municipal Credit Crisis and Earn Attractive Tax-Exempt Interest Income.
